Our History

In 1962, Mr. Jb.K Honingh started an administration and insurance intermediation office located at the Vondelkerkstraat in Amsterdam. After a law-change in 1974, the administration office is transformed to an accountants office and the insurance portfolio is split off. After several moves in Amsterdam via the Alexanderkade to the Geldersekade and Jodenbreestraat, the company moved in 1977 to Monnickendam. After the Kerkstraat, a suitable location is found at the Haringburgwal.

On January 1, 1982 Paul van Roemburg RA replaces the founder Mr Jb. K. Honingh. Also on the same date the audit firm E. Voskamp in Zeist is acquired by Paul van Roemburg.

Collaboration with the NBC group
During the same period, the NBC group (a coalition of administrative agencies aimed at SMEs) searches for a chartered accountant to perform audit procedures. Paul van Roemburg is willing to fulfill this role. This makes working with the NBC group a reality.

To give the NBC group the recognition of a group with national coverage, the branch location is included in the name. So NBC/Van Roemburg & Partners are til 1988 known as NBC Monnickendam. In 1998, the name changed to NBC/Van Roemburg & Partners. The present management is conducted by Paul van Roemburg RA, Winfried Jonk RA MA, Mark Koning AA FB and Dr. Kees de Boer RA RV. Winfried and Marco join on January 1, 1999 as partner and Kees on January 1, 2007.

Moving headquarters to Volendam
Due to continued growth and the acquisition of an accounting firm in Purmerend, NBC/Van Roemburg & Partners moves on March 5, 2001 from the offices at Haringburgwal in Monnickendam and Waterlandlaan in Purmerend to a new office at the Julianaweg 190a in Volendam. NBC/Van Roemburg & Partners B.V. operates from four branches: Volendam, Amsterdam, Alkmaar and Huis ter Heide.
