Code of Conduct

Introduction
Whereas in the past the "honor" and "experience and expertise" of the auditors served as guarantees of ethical conduct and professional care, current legislation includes a lot of complicated rules (law, ordinances, rules) that frequently change.

The policy of NBC/Van Roemburg & Partners is of course to work in accordance with those rules, however complicated that may be. The basic principles are enshrined in a code of conduct (ethical principles); later fine-tuning thereof has influenced the quality policy and the quality control system. In the code of conduct handbooks, there are included more instructions, examples and procedures that make it possible to meet all technical requirements.

The Code of Conduct is a tool for management to ensure that our organization or its employees involved in criminal activities and/or offenses which could harm the state of trust in our organization

Sanctioning Process
Violations of the principles formulated in the code of conduct can be submitted to one of the directors or to our compliance officer. Violations will depend on the nature of the report, sanctioned by the Management.

Complaints Process
If someone inside or outside the organization believes that the above principles are not adequately adhered to, then use can be made of the complaints procedure.

"Whistleblower" arrangement
Everyone should be able to raise concerns of (alleged) breaches without fear of endangering their own position. That is why our organization has made available a whistleblower policy. This arrangement is disclosed to all employees.
